If the housings of the electronic components mainly consist of pockets, islands and holes, the 2.5D pocket milling strategy is optimal. This can also be used for roughing and then finishing. Even circular pockets are supported by this strategy.
The special feature of 3D milling is that you can machine the workpiece with three axes at the same time. To use this strategy, the workpiece should consist of a 3D model.
The area of application for rotary milling is to achieve a poly surface for parts such as turbine blades, shoulder blades, screws and detailed parts such as camshafts and crankshafts. SprutCAM has 5 axes simultaneous strategies that create a CLData for each type of multi-axis machine. The CLData is created and takes into account the machine scheme, while the processing and creation of the program, all collisions are avoided. The created CLData also takes into account all transformations of the coordinates during processing.
SprutCAM contains a whole range of strategies for turning parts of any complexity, all known turning cycles are supported. The tool paths are created taking into account the remaining material. The cutting modes are set automatically. Each of the lathe mechanisms, from the bezel to the parts catch, can be controlled by the program.
The SprutCAM turn-mill module contains powerful turn-mill methods to program multi-axis machining with support for multi-tasking turn milling centers with driven tools, including Swiss-type CNC lathes. The simple handling of the lathe module with its wide range of functions offers the options for programmed roughing, finishing, grooving, thread cutting and machining.
SprutCAM has the ability to program multi-task lathes (lathes with a counter spindle). It enables NC programs to be created for simultaneous machining of workpieces, in different spindles and different tools.
